About the Program

This year The United States Patent and Trademark Office's (USPTO) Patents for Humanity Awards Program focuses on innovators that leverage emerging technologies to solve global challenges such as poverty, disease, natural disasters, clean water, sanitation, and nutrition. These emerging technologies include artificial intelligence, quantum information science, nuclear technologies, space exploration, telecommunications, biotechnology, and advanced transportation among other technologies. Their success stories will inspire others to harness innovation for human progress.
